The holiday season is upon us. A time of joy, laughter, giving and family. It’s also, in Colorado at least, a time for freezing weather. A time for hot cocoa, blankets, and running the fireplace. Ahh, doesn’t that sound lovely?

Now, picture this. Your alarm goes off and you’re warm and cozy in bed. The only reason you force yourself out of your toasty blankets and into the cold bedroom is because you know you’re about to step into a nice, hot shower. You will slowly wake up as the steamy water warms you.

To your horror, when you turn on the water, it’s not getting warm. You adjust the knobs... nothing. You give it some time, thinking it will warm up eventually… nothing. You check other faucets just to be sure… nothing. No hot water anywhere!

Sounds pretty horrible, right? Not the best way to start any day, especially a day with below zero temperatures.

4. Have you noticed water around your water heater?

5. Have you noticed it takes a long time for your water to get hot and runs out quickly?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be in need of a new water heater in the new future. How do you find out for sure? Get a water heater inspection by a trained professional. This not only will help you plan ahead for replacement, but will also help extend the life of your water heater!
